Grassroots football access for every child in Pakistan

Community Programs

The Smurfs FC Community Programs exist to make football accessible to every child, regardless of background or geography. Through free training sessions, equipment distribution, and grassroots tournaments, the programme reaches communities across Pakistan that have limited access to organized sport.

Free training sessions are held regularly in underserved areas of Islamabad and beyond. Qualified Smurfs FC coaches deliver age-appropriate sessions that introduce children to football fundamentals in a safe, encouraging environment. These sessions serve as both community engagement and talent identification opportunities.

Community tournaments bring organized competition to areas that lack regular fixtures. The Smurfs FC team sets up temporary pitches, provides match equipment, and runs tournaments that give local teams their first experience of structured competitive football. Winners receive trophies and invitations to visit Smurfs Grounds for further development.

Equipment distribution ensures that communities can sustain football activity beyond Smurfs FC visits. Footballs, training cones, bibs, and portable goals are donated to schools, community centres, and informal youth groups. Each donation includes basic coaching guides so local leaders can continue football programming independently.

The Community Programs have reached thousands of children across Pakistan, many of whom had never played organized football before. By taking football to the people rather than waiting for people to come to the academy, Smurfs FC is building the grassroots foundation that Pakistani football needs to grow.
